Elephant Of The Week : Pookie

Pookie is a chubby and cheeky lady elephant. She was born around 1960 and arrive ENP in June 2015. She used to work in illegal logging before trekking. Pookie is a very short, big headed and hairy elephant. She has very beautiful eyes with long eye lashes. She is very friendly and get along well with another elephants. Pookie is now enjoying her freedom at Care For Elephants program running by ENP and recently we brought baby Lucky to join our Saddles Off project so  two lovely elephant were connected. Pookie is really happy to be a nanny of baby Lucky. She is his protective nanny and also his nice playmate.
