Elephant Conservation includes meeting essential enrichment needs

Enrichments for elephants here at Elephant Nature Park, have always been high priority and as conservationists, we are always aware of natural environments and habitats for elephants in our care.

With the wide variety of natural habitats in the sprawling valley sanctuary of Elephant Nature Park, purposely placed or man made constructed enrichments are for some elephants, not quite good enough.

We of course have water ponds, flowing water, sand pits & mud pits. We supply old tyres and large balls to throw and kick around, but we also have shaded areas, quiet places and very special places.

A fallen tree makes for the perfect scratching post for grandma Sangdao to scratch that itch that nothing else will satisfy.
