Medo, our incredible girl with an indomitable spirit!

We don’t really know Medo’s actual birthday but we believe it might be approximately 1976.

So when we see playful behaviour of a 45-50 year old elephant, we can only imagine her contentment and happiness.

She doesn’t let her disability hold her back, finding pure joy playing with the tyres.

A beautiful moment captured by her caretaker Toon.

Flashback Friday 15 September 2023: Medo’s Life Before & After Rescue

Medo once lived with her two best friends, Mae Lanna and SaoYai. But the climb up the mountain eventually became too much for her and she developed friendships with SookJai (who has since passed away) and Gemsai, with whom she enjoys that company. She is a calm, easy-going elephant with an indomitable spirit, enjoying her life in the sanctuary of the park.
