Jaidee starting a new life of freedom at Elephant Nature Park

Congratulations and welcome Jaidee, the beautiful old lady to Elephant Nature Park. This is now your home forever. Jaidee is now about 55 years old and has experienced many years working for humans. For more than 30 years in a logging camp, 10 years as a street begging elephant and 7 years at tourist riding elephant, Jaidee is now able to rest in the sanctuary of Elephant Nature Park. Thank you to Mr.Adam Flin who gave her a new life, with his direct support, she will spend the rest of her life with love and care from our herd and her new family.

Save Elephant Foundation Elephant Rescue – SookSai

Originally from Mae Sariang and Karen hill tribe owners, SookSai has been moved all around Thailand and has passed from owner to owner about 15 times. She began her working life in legal and illegal logging. SookSai eventually ended up in the south of Thailand working as a trekking elephant until she lost her footing going up a hill and broke her ankle.

Meet Baanyen – Four O’Clock Flower

Baan Yen was born around 1950. Her name means ‘Four O’Clock Flower’. She started her working life as a logging elephant and was finally rescued after two decades giving rides to tourists in a trekking camp. Baan Yen arrived at ENP in January 2014. She was thin and had many abscesses. With good care, it did not take her long to recover and gain weight and energy. After a few months she met another newly rescued elephant named Jaem Sai who has since became her best friend.

We’re rescue the female elephant have found this elephant last year , during on the her circus tournament. Her name is Lucky and she is the star of Lucky elephant circus. Lucky have force to work from the circus from her young age She has been performing in circuses (sometimes two times a night) since she was one for 30 years.
