On our founder Lek’s birthday, we come together to celebrate in the most meaningful way: planting trees and releasing rescued animals.

This year, we planted 500 trees at our new land and released 16 rescued ducks. It was the perfect way for Lek to celebrate her special day by giving back.

Happy birthday Lek! The world became a better place the day you were born.

Lek always finds time for her gentle giant family

Our founder Saengduean Lek Chailert, is constantly challenged to find time that she enjoys the most. However, she her love and tenacity prevail and manages to dedicate quality moments with her beloved elephants. Every moment spent in their loving presence revitalises Lek's strength and determination to endure absence from her family.

Save Elephant Foundation Rescue – Sopa the 82 year old Elephant

In this video, we learn from Kanyakorn Kansumaso, the previous registered owner of Sopa, that Sopha used in the logging trade by a previous owner until she was 76 year old. Khun Kanyakorn speaks about the difficulties she had caring for Sopa, who she employed for 6 years at an Elephant Riding attraction near Pattaya in South East Thailand.
