Elephant Of The Week : Yai Bua

The transformation of our rescued elephant.

Yai Bua is an old lady elephant arrive to ENP on January 2016. She was very weak when we first met her at a trekking camp. On the first arrival to our park, she fell down and cannot stand on her legs. The vet team gave her some treatment and tried to get her body warmer. Unfortunately at this old age, her last set of teeth are not in good condition and also she used to work for the whole life so, this is the time to retire and enjoy the freedom. Yai Bua is now living with her new the family, she join Khamla’s herd and they help her a lot to be more confident and have a strong will to live.
