Elephant Of The Week : Saree

Elephant Of The Week : Saree

Saree can be translated to mean “Freedom”. She was born around 2006. Saree was taken from her mother when she was only one year old and she was forced to be a street begging elephant. Imagine, how do you feel when you was dragged away from your mother and you will never see her again. This is such a huge distress.

Saree is the best youngest nanny at Elephant Nature Park, she’s always stay beside Khun dej to protect him.

Saree is one of the best young nannies at Elephant Nature Park. As a teenager, she also loves to play and socialize with the other elephants. But when her adopted brother KhunDej needs her, she is always there to protect him, to be his playmate, to help and assistance him. These are beautiful pictures that you will see every day and every corner when you walk to visit our herd community at Elephant Nature Park.

KhunDej and Saree are sharing the love

KhunDej and Saree are sharing the love

KhunDej and Saree are not related by birth, but they have come together at our park and share a special bond like siblings. With Danny as the matriarch of the group, they are able to be in a family like they would be naturally. We are so happy to see these two interacting with each other and getting the love from other elephants that they need and deserve.

Welcome Saree to be the member of our family at Elephant Nature Park

Our latest member observing her new resident. We are really happy to have her to be the new member of our family. Seree spend ten years at street begging , early this year she had an accident and her hip was dislocated and injured so she can not walk properly. Thanks to Robyn Wearne from Australia who help to safe her life, donate her to stay with freedom at our sanctuary.
