Mae Malee is a large beautiful lady now retired to Elephant Nature Park Sanctuary

Malee arrived at Elephant Nature Park in early June 2015 after her rescue by Save Elephant Foundation. She was rescued along with another 18 elephants who had worked in logging and trekking camps in Kanchanaburi.

Mae Malee is the adopted gran-nanny to Manao, a young girl who was rescued with her.

Though she doesn’t suffer as Yai Bua, she knows how to cool down on a hot day. After dipping her feet and drinking she spray her self with water.

Elephants love playing in water and can spend long hours without getting tired, the river is life.
