Next Elephant
We are always adding to our herd as we look for elephants in desperate
need of care. The next rescue can be days or months away. We have to
purchase the elephants from their owners whom often demand big prices
for their elephants freedom.

About Elephants
Elephants are officially classified as an
endangered species, numbers in Thailand estimated between
3,000-4,000 animals
-Lifecycle - Elephants gestate for 22-24 months
- They live to around 70 years of age
- They reach sexual maturity in their early teens
- Can eat up to 250 kg per day |

In Loving
Memory
Elephants have a life span similar to that of a human
being. Some of them arrive in such poor condition that
their time is much less than it should be. The heart
break in losing a herd member is felt by all at the park
and, perhaps even more so, by the grieving herd at the
loss of one of their group. |
