Ladies enjoying the river at Elephant Nature Park
On an unseasonably warm late November day, FaaMai, ThongAe, Pikun, and KhunYai head to the river together for a bathing session.
As they play, ThongAe spots a branch drifting downstream and nudges her ‘sister’ and grannies, Pikun and KhunYai, out of harms way with a little conversation as they go.
They then begin to march upstream head to head looking very pleased with themselves on this fine day. It warms the heart to witness the solidarity between elephants.
