Affectionate friendship of rescued elephants Payom and NongPeng

The friendship between Payom and NongPeng is so heartwarming to watch.

Payom and NongPeng are part of Khamla’s family group but they enjoy finding quiet, peaceful and relaxing moments in their day to be close to each other.

Their commitment and affection for one another is astounding, as can be seen in this video which shows them on an early morning walk up the river to their daytime haunts, further up the valley.
