At Elephant Nature Park, rescue is just the beginning
Once elephants complete their quarantine, our mission is to help them rediscover what it means to be part of a family to return to a herd.
Elephants are deeply social beings, naturally bonded to their herd. Yet most captive elephants live in isolation, controlled by humans, deprived of companionship, and forced to work until their final days. Many mothers are separated from their calves, and most never feel the love of a herd again.
But at Elephant Nature Park, we believe no elephant should live or die alone.
Nearly all of the elephants we rescue, arrive in a state of deep physical and emotional trauma. Our first priority is healing their hearts and minds. And nothing heals an elephant faster than the love of another elephant.
Reintegration into a herd is the heart of our mission. Because only elephants truly understand each other.
And in the safety of the herd, healing begins.
Family. Herd. Belonging.
These are not just words they are everything to an elephant.
At ENP, we strive to bring them home.
