Beautiful Raya is a female elephant believed to be in her 40’s who was living in Southern Thailand and suffered from a broken right hind leg. Her previous owner continued using her for hard labor despite her injuries until Lek learned about her suffering. On the 23rd December 2021, RaYa was rescued from an elephant camp and brought to Elephant Nature Park where she could begin to recover from the trauma of her past.
