To our dear friends, we are delighted to share with you the news that, this morning at about 0437, a new baby boy was born to mother Dok Ngern. The little baby is very healthy and alert to mom’s milk right away. He was born in the company of all of her future nannies in the shelter. Now Sri Nuan is selected by Dok Ngern to be number one nanny of the little boy, who we have named Dok Rak, the flower of love.

Green Forest Day: Honoring Our Founder’s Birthday

On our founder Lek’s birthday, we come together to celebrate in the most meaningful way: planting trees and releasing rescued animals. This year, we planted 500 trees at our new land and released 16 rescued ducks. It was the perfect way for Lek to celebrate her special day by giving back. Happy birthday Lek! The world became a better place the day you were born.

Elephant of the week 24 September 2023: Super Nanny Srinuan

When she arrived at the park, she embraced her new family immediately. Not only is she the adoptive mother of DokNgern, she is also the aunty of Chang Yim, FaaMai, DokMai, and DokRak. And when Bunma and her baby Chaba first arrived she quickly moved to assist caring for Chaba.

Fascinating Elephant Communication at Elephant Nature Park

At Elephant Nature Park, visitors can often see younger elephants being surrounded, guided, caressed and protected by other elephants. This caring behaviour of elephants being attentive to the care and well being of other elephants, especially younger elephants we call Nanny Behaviour.
