Things to bring for overnight trips and for volunteers

One change of clothing for every day + one extra is recommended.

For Walking

  • Sunhat, Sports or walking shoes 
  • Socks, Shorts
  • T-Shirts, Swimming costume
  • Camera & Films

For Night-time

  • Long Pants/trousers
  • Flip Flops/thongs/sandals
  • Pullover or jacket
  • Torch/flashlight is useful

Small Medical Kit

  • Band Aid, Iodine, Cotton Buds
  • Mosq. repellent 
  • Malaria pills (if required)
  • Other prescribed medicine

Hygiene

  • Soap, Shampoo,
  • Toothbrush/paste
  • Toilet paper
  • Towel

Pack EVERYTHING in a large plastic bag and put inside your rucksack.

note Anything you do not have can be bought cheaply at Chiang Mai's night bazaar.

Seasonal Considerations

Bedding at the park is included as well as mosquito nets. We have left blankets at the villages for your comfort when you are away from the park. During the cool season (Oct-Feb) it is cold; bring warm clothing and, if you have one with you, a sleeping bag. May-Sep is rainy season so a waterproof jacket is recommended.
