| Thai New Year is celebrated between 12-14 April every
year. On the 12th we have a celebration where the elephants and oxen are given a
fruit feast. The elephants also get their favourite treat, tamarind balls in salt. Water is splashed on
the elephant by visitors and riders. They respond in kind with trunk-fulls of water into
the crowd. The bottom picture shows one of our bulls practicing on the garden.
They are all given two days off afterwards to enjoy their own holidays.
