Elephant Feeding Fines

Feeding elephants in Thailand can get you a 10,000 Baht fine (around US$300).

This story, while not a new one, appeared in the 14 Jul 210 edition of the UK's Daily Telegraph.

Street begging elephants are a big problem in Thai cities and towns The poor elephants are forced to work long hours in a completely alien environment, often without food and water for hours at a time. Many are injured from car accidents and the strees takes it's toll on them.
