Children's Day festivities

On the second Saturday of every January, children throughout Thailand partake in Children's Day festivities.

Saturday 09th January 2010, Elephant Nature Park brought 25 volunteers to host such a celebration at Ban Low School, Mae Taeng District. Twenty-five Park volunteers, including twenty-one Australian university students, joined with students from Chiang Mai Vocational College to put on the event. The festivities included performances and games. The volunteers also gave gifts to the children on behalf of Elephant Nature Park, including school supplies and snacks. Children and volunteer’s alike enjoyed the celebration immensely.

Special thanks to all of the volunteers for helping make Children’s Day a success.
