We volunteered at Elephant Nature Park for a week in December
2007, having discovered it on the internet.
It was the most
amazing place either of us had ever seen and we absolutely loved
it! We fell in love with all the eles, especially Medo and also
loved all the other animals. Every night we made sure we took a
couple of dogs into our room for cuddles. Having seen the wonderful work Lek and everyone else at
the park is doing and how it's changing the way elephants are viewed
and treated, we wanted to try and do our little bit to help. We
were married on 19 September 2009 and we asked our guests to
donate money to Elephant Nature Park in lieu of gifts. Our
wedding had an elephant theme, with elephant chocolate
bonbonnieres and elephant bride and groom stuffed toys on the
wedding cake. We were overjoyed with the generosity from our
family and friends and are so happy to be able to pass this
money onto Elephant Nature Park! We look forward to returning
there again soon to catch up with everyone and of course all the
eles! Thank you ENP for the most wonderful experience and all
you do for animals!
