Dok Ngern gives birth.

12 Jul 2009. Dok Ngern, who was only 10 years old . Which makes her amongst the youngest elephant mothers ever.

She give birth the male baby elephant weigh 101 kilograms and 93centimeters tall. The elephant was Boon Khum ( BK)

Dok Ngern was rescued by Antoinette Van de Water from "Bring elephant home" Netherlands. Dok Ngern previous work was as a street begging elephant before being rescued by the park. She arrived at the park when she was 6 years old when she first arrived she had a huge mental problems. Her body was full of wounds and scars. She was very panicky and scared of every thing around her.

During her first year at the park Dok Ngern did not easily accept her new mahout, we sent her to stay with the herd and the old mother elephants then adopted her. Dok Ngern loves all baby elephants and has an obsession with nanny work. She looks after all new baby born and all mother elephant accept and trust her expertise to look after their  babies.

The baby Dok Ngern spent most time with is Pupia, the sick baby elephant rescued from a tourist camp . Dok Ngern has been  disappointed over and over when all the baby she raised as a Nanny grew up and left us as their owners took them away to tourist camps. Finally she has her own baby. She give birth on 12 July 2009 at 0430 am. The baby name “ Chang Yim mean the happy and smiling elephant.
