RIVER WALL

This time of year brings annual heavy rains and flooding in parts of the country. The park and all the animals are safe from floods by the river-wall.

As some of you know, we were not so lucky last year. This year the river wall is keeping the river on its course. As of the end of August, we have raised over US $70,000.00 with your help. But there need of further help. For more details about the project visit here:

Military Coup

20 Sep 06: There has been a military coup in Bangkok, Thailand. Thankfully was no blood-shed was reported. The rest of the country has been little affected and, historically, tourist areas have been largely unaffected. The park expects little, if any, interruption. Please follow media news of the situation when planning your visit. In other advice, mirroring that offered from  from the UK, US and Australian governments; [we] recommend closely monitoring news and stay away from government buildings or any public rallies. Avoid any large gatherings, military groups and exercise discretion when moving around.
