Mae Bua Tong & Baby Sought

We are urgently trying to bring a new mother and calf to our park. Mae Bua-Tong (meaning Mother Golden Lotus) aged 35 now works at a tourist camp She gave birth to a baby girl at the camp on the night of 14 February 2005. The calf is who just 5 months old, an age fraught with health worries. The owner has a work contract with the tourist camp and the mother elephant have been sent back to work. Every day she is used to transport tourists on her back as the hapless 5 month old calf saunters behind.

Both baby and mother are in bad condition because the mother can not nurse her offspring properly. We will do whatever we can to save this infant. ***
