Trilly, a nearby Trekking elephant finally finds a home with us.

Trilly

Came to our herd: 15 Mar 2011

Support Trilly

Rescued from: Trekking
Birthday: 22 Jun 1976

Trilly is a middle-aged female elephant. She has had sixteen previous owners and has had to work hard for all of them. She has even been forced to mate with an overweight male elephant and this caused sever back injuries, which she still suffers from.

We rescued her from a trekking camp located near Elephant Nature Park. Trilly is a disabled elephant who is now unfit for work as a logger or to cart tourists on her damaged back and leg.

Park volunteers offer to buy her from trekking camp and, thus, we became Trilly’s 17th and, hopefully her last, legal owner. Trilly now has Khum Puen as her best friend since they both arrived to the park and go together everywhere at Elephant Haven.

We plan to offer her a loving family and the support she needs to peacefully enjoy the rest of her life with us, and the herd.
