Bio's and information on Elephant Nature Park's former herd

Elephants have a life span similar to that of a human. Some fail through injuries sustained in a life before their rescue, other simply fade away. No one of them leaves the park without affecting those left behind. We miss them all dearly.

In Loving Memory

Elephants have a life span similar to that of a human being. Some of them arrive in such poor condition that their time is much less than it should be. The heart break in losing a herd member is felt by all at the park and, perhaps even more so, by the grieving herd at the loss of one of their group.

Gone From the Park

Some of the elephants we take care of with us only for periods of recuperation. The legal owners of the elephants sometimes return the elephants to their old lives. We do what we can to raise the funds to buy these elephants but the owners may choose to take them away. At the very least we have given them a welcome break with our herd.
